original
This is not so original in the sence that wedding haven't been performed before, but highly original using the guild halls and the guild itself as a wedding hall.
You are very calm, polite, serious and organised, you don't critisize what others think about your idea.
I wish you luck and hope for the best.

Thank you bat.
I will be contacting some of you people who have asked for jobs shortly. With the guest feature in guilds now this service is even easier but there is the 100 gold per person transportation charge.

0_0 That's true it's realy easy when you can just send invites and they can stay for max 8 days. But it costs 100g for each person. They'd have to pay like 350g per person for you to make a profit: 100g for invite, 200g for 1 ale and 50g for you and your efforts

GW marriages?! Ha, I say... Before long you'll have people that can't go on mission with you because their spouse says its their turn to do the armor cleaning. Not to mention trying to find a babysitter for all the guildings they have.

I just read someone posting if they can marry their pet. Would it be possible to marry a spirit like Frozen Soil for example? The divorce wouldn't be a problem either, just take Frozen Soil out of your skill bar Someone suggested minions so i started wondering the possibilities....

I would love to help you with your buisiness. I am an apprentice farmer and it would be nice if like I could give the bride and groom a little something.
Also me and my friend are going to throw a party for me. It is going to celebrate me finally getting to droks and we were going to have a party. How much would it cost for like 20 peeps to come to the party with ale and stuff.
On that note you should let people throw parties at your hall (for a price). Contact me in game: Messenger Of God i would love to help you.

On another note: How would you calm down a room full of 75 people... You will be bound to have atleast one or more people that run around, acting stupid, ruining the entire 'cyber-wedding'.

Two words: Great & Idea.
I can't say that the concept of in-game marriages is new. Been done since the earliest days of online multiplayer gaming. They just don't seem to be as common in GW as in other games. (Perhaps I've just spent too much time playing Second Life, where such things are fairly common.) Those GW ceremonies that I have seen have been simple affairs, nowhere near as organized and formal as the service you're proposing to offer customers.
A lot of people won't understand the reasons behind wanting to have an in-game marriage, so as you've already seen you'll have more than your fair share of wisecrackers and, quite frankly, dimwits, disparaging your attempt at introducing an old gaming concept into a new environment like GW.
For those who have commented on man and man (e-woman), you should know that female gamers are one of the fastest growing customer bases for game developers. We play everything from Second Life to Guild Wars to Counterstrike to WoW and just about anything else you can think of. And a large number of us are *quite* good at the games we play.
In fact the members of the guild I belong to, Girl Power, are almost entirely women. We're the largest LBGT guild in GW that we *know* of, and have been around since the BWE days. Not only do we sport the standard capes, guild hall, teamspeak and web site, we even have our own net radio station to tune into instead of listening to the same old GW background music hour after hour. And our parent organization, Triangle Gurls Club, is represented in numerous other games -- again, with the members of the respective clans/guilds made up mostly of women.
(Shameless Guild Promotion: If you know the meaning of LBGT and are interested in playing with like-minded people, feel free to whisper me in-game to discuss it. We're a great group of fun-loving people!)
Finally, to Tippy, I might contract your services myself. After all, my RL girlfriend and I not only live together, but are "married" in two other games. No reason not to make it three, if you don't mind performing a D/s lesbian marriage ceremony. You also should feel free to contact me in-game to discuss this in particular. =)
